Hi Folks and happy Juneteenth!

We're in the long middle stretch of the campaign with one week left before the end! So I wanted to give you some good news I just got. We have the final cover for Year 4 part 1!

This is the preliminary cover for E.J. Isaac's A New Beginning. If you like the feel of Star Trek and Babylon 5, give this one a try! There may be a few changes for the final, but this is a very solid start for the cover, thanks to the awesome design efforts of MoorBooks!




We've had some ups and downs over the last week, with a handful of cancelled pledges along with a handful of new pledges. We really want to hit that next goal of funding Space Wizard's marketing budget, and then, creating an audio book for Lofty Mountains, one of our most popular anthologies! If we hit this stretch goal, you all get a copy of the audiobook, so please tell your friends and family about the campaign and spread the word!

Stretch Goal one: Unlocked!

Thanks so much to everyone for spreading the word and getting us past that first hurdle! This first goal means we'll actually (gasp) pay ourselves. And by that, I mean we'll have some extra money I'll probably put right back into Space Wizard!


But there's more! Our next stretch goal, at $12,000, is really important for Space Wizard. We've been open since 2021, and really starting to hit our stride with great fantasy and science fiction that uplifts queer and marginalized voices. What I look for as the editor of Space Wizard are books that I can't put down, and ones that have every bit the quality people expect from one of the big five publishing companies.

One of the things that separates us from big presses in getting the word out about our great books is that marketing costs money! That's why our next goal will let us keep working with the new marketing manager we started with in May. If you haven't checked out @SpaceWizardPress on Instagram, go give us a follow! You find there are some swanky new graphics, new videos and a lot more content to get the word out about these books. Those are examples of what this next goal will help pay for!

But I wanted to give you more than just some behind the scenes on our publishing company. How about a new cover!



Intent Magic is the sequel to Physical Magic, in my new progression fantasy series. If you got the first book, then this one opens up the world a lot, and has some new species and magic! And yes, Lugopo is in it again...

Serene Chia just finished the cover up this week, and Audrey Logsdon, who has been helping me out with titles and lettering, put the titles on. We may change this up a bit, but it's pretty close to the final product! (and yes, we know about the typo...it should be "Shifting Lands," not "Shifting Sands.") Let me know what you think in the comments!

Woo! We just hit $9000 today! This means we're less than $500 from getting paid for running Space Wizard!
Pretty much everything we do goes right back into paying for covers and marketing for new queer books coming to you, so it's great to be able to pay ourselves a little in these campaigns.

Past this stretch goal, we'll be able to pay a marketing professional we've started working with for more exposure to queer fans, something which we've wanted to do for a while to help get the word out about our authors and their great stories! So please pass on this campaign to friends and family, and let them know of all the amazing stories you can get from Space Wizard!

I have a story in their first anthology, I Want That Twink Obliterated, which is just the best name. They're at it again with Wrath Month, a collection of science fiction and fantasy punk stories of queer rage! It's going to be incredible, so check it out!
